I don't know what is the problem with this board, but it excels in instability.
And, although many workarounds have been tested, most of them seems to fail. I've been reading here and there the costumers trying to blame the processor, the memory and the PSU. But I'm convinced that the problem is the mb.
My last week was hell, at the begining the system would reboot randomly, and sometimes I could work in heavy programs or even benchmark the memories with no problem, but sometimes I was just checking the mail and "boom", system rebooted. Prime95 torture test was halting with Asus A8V Deluxe 1017 final than 1 minute, because of Hardware Defect or something similar.

I then tested each corsair module in slot b1 of motherboard, and guess what, one worked perfectly, the other crashed the test. Hah, simple then, module is defective.
But both of them, or better each one isolated worked perfectly in other machines I tested. Then I updated the bios from toand the system became stable, tryed playing games or using Photoshop with heavy textures my workand "boom" colapse, the system closes the programs, but its a good thing, at least its not rebooting the machine.

Then I updated the bios again from to and the system became more stable, I could use the programs for 10 or 15min before crashing. Thats why I want to use the 3: Sorry man, but you're probably out of luck.

See this thread I created a long time ago when my main rig was using the A8V Deluxe: Super Nade, given that there are still people using this board, do you think it might be a good idea Asus A8V Deluxe 1017 final mention this issue in your guide somewhere assuming you have the time to update it? Woudl the computer even boot? Asus gives a little something a little different for everyone I guess You might get a CPU error and it won't boot.
Just have a copy of each BIOS available on floppy and flash it back Asus A8V Deluxe 1017 final if it doesn't work out for you. Possibly, if you don't have an 11 or higher multi with your CPU. It was the exact reason I bought an Optyinstead of a Read post of this thread about what I've experienced.
There are others here that experienced similar issues. Ok, as long as it will boot into the bios and not crash.
