Hello all, I have an Acer Aspire VP, specs here. Acer VA50_HW benchmarks, Acer VA50_HW performance data from and the Phoronix Test Suite. Upgrading CPU in my old Acer Aspire from Core2 Duo @ GHz (T) to Core2 Duo @ GHz Missing: VA50_HW.

Reading the quoted sentence reminded me, that with Mint 13 hibernation was OK.
And I wonder, why things break with Mint 17 - probably because of the newer kernel. Of course a newer kernel can break things, but I would expect, that with the one Acer VA50_HW newer build of the kernel this should get corrected.
Until now this is Acer VA50_HW the case. After this lengthy introduction I come to the point, where I want to search - and test - now: The kernel parameters.

At least it sounds logical to me, that with the right kernel parameter hibernation could get to work again reliable. After some searching I found at Acer VA50_HW moment 2 parameters, which appear to be a possible solution there might be more. I started with the first parameter yesterday. If the card contains no files, or unknown files, a window will open showing Acer VA50_HW contents of the card.
